Our Latest Reviews

Here is what recent brides had to say about the Milano Room at Amici.

The reception was wonderful. Zack and I have no complaints, nothing we can think of that needs improvement. You and your staff went above and beyond what we expected, especially on a night as busy as New Year’s Eve. Our food was great – and from talking to our guests afterward, it sounds like they all agree. Also, your servers did an amazing job. We heard afterward that your main dining room was packed that night. Zack and I were surprised to hear that because we could not tell from your staff the least bit. The guy who served Zack and I was especially great. We love the menus you made to put on the tables. We also really loved how you decorated our table and chairs to stand out from the rest. It was really beautiful and I felt like such a princess sitting there.

Zack and I want to thank you for your hospitality and generosity. I also want to thank you for all you did in working with my mom to get things ready. My mom absolutely adores you. We have nothing but good things to say and you have helped us create amazing memories. We will definitely recommend the Milano Room to everyone we know and will return for future events.

Thank you again Benedetta,
Mr. and Mrs. Smith!

Absolutely Wonderful!
The best thing I did was to have my reception at Amici’s- The Milano Room. Benedetta was a gem about making sure everything was done to my liking. She also made sure I stayed in my budget as well! I even had 6 new guests that decided they wanted to come just 48 hours before the wedding and she was able to accommodate them. We were kind of a DIY wedding and she was very helpful in letting us stay late to set up the reception area the night before the wedding. I was a little leery about the 20% gratuity but the service was worth it and more! Overall I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know and I’m still hearing compliments on how wonderful the location was!  (See our reviews on The Knot.)

My Husband and I just had our reception there and we couldn’t be happier! We had over 100 people at our reception and I have not heard a single complaint. Everyone raved about the food. They raved about the service. Planning a wedding from Charlotte, NC, we needed someone who was accommodating and willing to work with our schedule. We looked all over town for a reception site. Once we met Benedetta we were sold. She is the most accommodating person we have ever worked with. She’s professional and knows what she’s doing. She was even recommended to us by other reception venues! When I was in the salon getting ready all of the stylists told me that Amici’s was their favorite place to go for receptions and they had the best food in town. They all made a point of saying that Benedetta had a fabulous staff who knew what they were doing – they were right. Even our DJ told us before the wedding that he always had great experiences with Benedetta. It was the best night ever and there isn’t a single thing I would change about. I wish there were more stars.  (See our reviews on Wedding Wire.)

Wonderful! Simply wonderful! Everything was better than we had hoped. Great food, impressive service, help with everything we asked for. Planning a destination wedding can be daunting, but Benedetta was incredible! she answered all my questions, knew vendors in the area to pull from, everything was top notch. The Milano room was everything we expected a wedding reception room to be.  (See our reviews on Wedding Wire.)

All I can say is “Incredible”….the room is absolutely beautiful, the service immpeccable, and the food, to die for. When you walk into The Milano Room its decor is warm and inviting, everything is neutral in color so all of my colors worked amazingly. I couldn’t have had a more intimate, and incredible reception anywhere else. I highly recommend working with the owner & banquet director Benedetta because she goes above and beyond her call of duty to make sure everything is perfect, actually more then perfect. I wanted a night to remember with my new husband and family and friends, and I got so much more then just a memory, I was just floored. I would recommend The Milano room to any couple who enjoys upscale service from start to finish!! Thank you all so much for making my wedding day spectacular!!  (See our reviews on Wedding Wire.)

Florida Beach Weddings!

Top Ten Checklist for Florida Beach Weddings

A beach wedding is a beautiful and memorable choice to celebrate your special day. Here is a list of important things to consider when planning a Florida Beach Wedding.

  1. Florida Beach Weddings revolve around the weather. While there is nothing you can do about the weather, have an alternate indoor venue for the ceremony in preparation for inclement weather.
  2. For Florida Beach Weddings it is important to study the timetable of tides at your beach of choice. Be mindful of the natural patterns of your location and plan accordingly so that your day is without unwanted surprises.
  3. Make sure to identify the ebb and flow of not only the ocean but the surrounding area as well. Note scheduled community activities, special events, and try to visit your location at various times to establish familiarity with the area.
  4. Outdoor photography is much different than indoor photography. Check with your wedding photographer to ensure that they are prepared for lighting and other special concerns associated with Florida Beach Weddings.
  5. Take guests into consideration when planning your Florida Beach Wedding. You want your wedding to be enjoyed by everyone and accessible by everyone. Scout out the availability of ramps and, if difficult terrain is present, prepare a way for your elderly and disabled guests.
  6. Be aware that all beaches in Florida are public beaches and that the wedding ceremony site can not be roped off. Depending on the time of day and season of your wedding, you may or may not have a few onlookers. Be prepared to have helpers kindly direct beach goers if needed.
  7. Permits will be necessary at most beaches in Florida for a Florida Beach Wedding. Anastasia Island State Park, located approximately one mile from Amici’s Milano Room, has been rated Florida’s #1 State Park for the past three years. Permits for Anastasia Island State Park are $53.00 for up to 20 guests and $212.00 for 21-200 guests. If using a Florida Beach State Park take into consideration the entrance fee for your guests. With the $212.00 permit, Anastasia Island State Park includes the entrance fee for you and your guests.
  8. Because of the humidity and pleasant breezes along Florida’s beaches, it is necessary to test out your hair style and the hair style of your bridesmaids at the beach before your wedding day.
  9. To avoid fines, ask about certain items you may want to incorporate into your Florida Beach Wedding. Items such as fireworks, silk petals, rice, and pets may or may not be allowed. Check with local authorities to insure your ceremony is in line with beach regulations.
  10. Lastly, look into wedding or special event insurance. While this is a good idea for all weddings, it is especially pertinent for Florida Beach Weddings. Depending on the package, wedding insurance provides coverage for cancellation, postponement, an unusable venue, vendors’ failure to provide services, and protection of rings, cake, flowers, attire and luggage. Proof of wedding insurance with liability coverage is required by Florida State Park Recreational Facilities.
